Go Sightseeing Beyond Plitvice Lakes. Beyond forests, and limestone cover caves, animals, castes, and buildings, they all definitely deserve your attention. Lakes and surroundings lays on the karst area, which is the perfect soil for caves and spits. Croatia is famous for 8000 of them and only 18 km from the lakes are Barac caves. An amazing place is hidden in the forest but easily approachable and adjusted for all. On our sightseeing beyond Plitvice Lakes experience, we’ll stop to see and enjoy a local dear farm. In the forest far away from tourists, this friendly animal will steal your heart. You can feed them in time of feeding, lucky if you can pet them, but taking photos is for everyone.
Well, we need to eat so please let us take you sightseeing beyond Plitvice Lakes to a local dairy farm for cheese tasting. We have our traditional cheese Škripavac, Glavan but also different ones for taste. After getting energy back we will continue driving towards the national park lakes to view one of the most stunning places hidden in the forest. Just a few kilometers away from the mass tourist area. It has been in the forest standing almost 40 decades. We know who Lara Croft is, but this place could easily serve as a movie destination. What should I wear?
- Appropriate clothes for the season
- Shoes – you must be wearing shoes connected with your feet. “Flip flops” are not allowed.
Don’t forget to bring with you:
- Sunscreen / sun lotion / body sun protection
- Personal necessary medicine
- Sandwiches / fruits / snacks and beverages
- Camera / phone / camera
For this trip we recommend bringing sporty, running, or hiking shoes, depending on the time of the year-long or short sleeves. Long sleeves definitely for caves and undergrounds. A small backpack is always good to have, filled with a rain jacket, water bottle, camera. Depending on the time of the year. Springs can be wet and colder, summers nice and warm so don’t forget the sunscreen.
TRANSFER
On request for additional costs, we can pick you up and drop you back at your accommodation. Also, if you come from cities, we can recommend buses.

Booking is not confirmed till you have received written confirmation from our staff or your booking agent. You can make reservations via telephone but we need your name and number of participants in written form from an email, social media, or message applications.
We recommend planning sightseeing in advance (min 5 days) during the high season as tickets are limited.
We reserve the right to alter trip itineraries or change locations if necessary due to weather, changes in water level, or other factors beyond our control.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If the cancellation has been made by the operator concerned for any reason, a cancellation fee will not apply. You can cancel the tour anytime for a 100% refund as long as the cancellations are 48 hours before the booking date.
No refund if canceled within 48 hours before the activity.

Plitvice Outdoor will reschedule the activity for a day or two prior to or after the date booked, if possible. If rescheduling is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full.

Activities can often be rescheduled if sufficient advanced warning is given to us. There is usually no charge for this.

Yes. We will stay close to main roads where shops and restaurants are. At our meeting point we have a restaurant and grocery shop, as well as a souvenir shop.
Yes, likely you will probably end up with some new friends to have a drink with after.
Our meeting time is quite strict. We do our best to be as fast as possible when checking our guests in, so if you anticipate being late please call as early as possible to let them know. As a courtesy to our guests who arrive on time, we will wait no longer than 30 minutes for you (i.e. If you meet at 10:00, then we will wait until 10:30am). If we do not hear from you and our messages are not returned, we will consider your reservation as a no show and it will not be refunded or rescheduled. We are understanding of traffic and other issues so please communicate with us and if done so, we will do our best to reschedule you at a later time, day, week, however everything is subject to availability and there are no guarantees.
In the summer months in July and August expect 15 to 33 degrees.

You can either pay by bank transfer that needs to be cleared before your ride date or PayPal, or you can pay cash on the day. We currently do not have card facilities. Hugs are an acceptable tip (were until COVID), so are high fives and cash.
No not at all. It is easy short driving, short walking, with few steps, short uphills and downhills.
Yes, we have our campground at the base suitable for all vehicles, safe and away from the main road.
